Dr. Metler is passionate about helping others discover that positive transformation is possible. His work at InitiativeOne spans more than a decade. Dr. Metler’s responsibilities as Vice President of Content Development incorporate his vast experience in leadership that stretches across several countries and multiple venues. His experience includes executive coaching, facilitation, speaking, leadership development, college curriculum development and teaching, writing and pastoral ministry.
Dr. Metler’s personal leadership journey began early in his career through mentorship from his father and brother in their family-owned trucking business, A.J. Metler Hauling and Rigging, Inc. (MHR). MHR developed a reputation as an innovative industry leader in transporting specialized glass.
In addition to his experience in the trucking industry, Dr. Metler is an ordained minister. As a minister, Dr. Metler has refined his understanding of servant leadership and the importance of a holistic approach to leadership development that includes knowing, doing and being. He is co-author of the books “Is Everyone On the Boat?” and “The Reality of Change” and has worked extensively as a strategic leadership consultant with executive teams in large and small organizations.
His academic experience includes development and instruction of numerous leadership courses as an adjunct professor. Dr. Metler has enjoyed opportunities to speak and teach in a number of countries outside the U.S. including Canada, Guatemala, Ecuador, Brazil and Russia.

John’s passion is to inspire growth in teams and individuals wanting to be all they can be.
John has been connected to and has demonstrated leadership in the world of athletics practically his entire life. He played football at Stanford University and coached college football for two years after graduating. John then served as one of four founding directors of the NCAA Volunteers for Youth which served thousands of young people over a 10 year period.
After earning his masters in social work and directing a non-profit agency (for which he was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, given “for exemplary service to the State of North Carolina and their communities”, John then began a 28 year career as a college athletics administrator. He served on and chaired several NCAA and ACC committees and is credited with creating the first leadership academy in a college athletics department whose concept has spread throughout the world of college athletics.
Additionally, John has consulted on leadership and character development with two major league baseball organizations for the past 10 years and served as an executive coach for seven minor league managers.
John has been married to the former Dawn London for 36 years. The couple has three grown children and two grandchildren.
Dr. Tim Brown has a rich understanding of leadership principles and practice. His experiences as the Executive Minister of Growing Healthy Churches, senior pastor, mentor and coach provide a deep reservoir of insights. As a part of the Transformation in Faith-Based Leadership Team at InitiativeOne, Tim helps leaders translate their most deeply held values into leadership excellence.
Beginning in West Virginia, Tim has over twenty-five years of ministry experience. As an executive leader at Growing Healthy Churches, he has coached and mentored scores of leaders. Tim shares practical insights regarding how healthy leaders develop healthy organizations. Tim thrives in a collaborative environment where he can act as a catalyst for transformation.
Tim is a frequent speaker to many church groups, pastors and denominational leaders all over the United States. He has also done training and coaching for groups in India, Australia, Mexico and Africa. He is a sought after church growth and health consultant and as a personal coach to pastors and church leaders. Tim has also written many articles for national publications
Tim and his wife, Jennifer, live in California and have three children: Abigail, Allison and Wyatt.
Brandon has a proven track record of developing leadership qualities on and off the field. His passion for leadership translates into a keen focus on excellence.
Brandon played baseball and earned his undergraduate degree at Purdue University and has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. He has over 15 years of teaching and coaching experience. Brandon was Teacher of the Year at Mountain Pointe High School in 2008, Most Inspirational Teacher by the Tempe Diablos in 2011, voted as most inspirational teacher by students five different years and was a finalist for Arizona Teacher of the Year in 2012. Brandon was the Arizona State high school baseball coach of the year in 2010 and won a baseball state championship in 2011.
While building one of the nation’s elite high school baseball programs, Brandon has helped dozens of baseball players go on to play collegiately as well as 13 players to be drafted and go on to play professionally. Brandon established a 3 Dimensional Coaching program that helps coaches capture the body, mind and heart of their athletes. He implemented a leadership program for high school students aimed at helping them develop characteristics and skills that will allow them to lead and be successful in and outside of the school setting.
Garry Davies is an executive and corporate coach with a rich and diverse background in international executive operations management, who now is putting that experience to work to help others realize their own success and dreams.
Garry was born in the UK and lived and worked in South Africa for 20 years before moving to the United States in 1995, where he has had a successful career in manufacturing operations, sales and leadership. His business experience includes managing and leading organizations as president; chief operating officer and general manager in manufacturing, sales and marketing, quality, supply chain management, ERP systems implementation, strategic planning and business launches.
After years of success as an executive in these areas, Garry learned about the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), one of the top-ranked coach training organizations in the world. As exciting as his own career was, this seemed an invigorating opportunity that would allow him to change the trajectory of his professional career, and positively impact others by using his years of experience, knowledge and success in new ways. Garry attended iPEC’s coach training program and graduated as a Certified Professional Coach and Master Practitioner in the Energy Leadership Index Assessment tool. The iPEC experience launched Garry into a new and exciting career.

Ahman Green is an accomplished leader who helps inspire others to discover the impact of leadership transformation. As an InitiativeOne Transformation Leader, Ahman draws from a wealth of experiences including his record setting 12 year NFL career and his business leadership practices.
Ahman has a history of excellence. In high school in Omaha, Nebraska, he was selected as a Track, Football and an Academic All American. While at The University of Nebraska, Ahman was a key contributor to two National Championship Teams. The All Time leading rusher for the Green Bay Packers, Ahman is an inductee in the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame and a 4 Time Pro Bowler with 68 Career Touchdowns.
Ahman is currently co-owner of D1 Green Bay Sports Training & Therapy Facility. As a broadcaster, he covers the Packers as the co-host of both the “Locker Room” and “Green & Gold Gameday Live.” He established the Ahman Green Foundation, a 501(c)3 in order to help enhance the quality of life for children and families who have been impacted by hardships or terminal illness. Ahman is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community through his service to others. Ahman and his wife Marie reside in De Pere, Wisconsin and through previous marriages have 5 children together.
Lisa brings more than 25 years of experience in management, office administration, business development, customer service, and human resources to her role as Operations and Business Development at Initiative One.
With a background working in various industries including healthcare, marketing, financial and economic development, Lisa carries a well-rounded knowledge of operations with a very strong concentration in relationship building. Lisa brings enthusiasm, professionalism and warmth, along with a service mentality to our Initiative One clients.
Lisa’s primary focus is to ensure smooth and efficient operations as well as developing and maintaining positive relationship with prospective, current and past clients.
John brings a rich background of leadership experiences, ranging from manufacturing to non-profit to marketing executive roles. He is recognized as a leader that loves to grow teams and help others reach their full potential.
These previous experiences have equipped John with the ability to coach clients through the challenges and strategic changes needed to win in today’s marketplace. One of John’s major forte’s is the ability to help leaders and teams “connect the dots” using innovation and organizational transformation to achieve breakthrough results.
John is excited to be back in the NE Wisconsin office after starting his career with Procter and Gamble in Green Bay. His role will focus on InitiativeOne’s Business Development system, opening the Milwaukee/Chicago markets and growing the InitiativeOne and University of Wisconsin Green Bay strategic partnership.
Melissa brings more than 10 years of management experience to her role as Operations Specialist. Leveraging her tenure as a personal banker and assistant manager in the retail sector, Melissa provides patrons with exceptional customer service. Her responsibilities include event planning, project coordination, materials preparation, technology utilization, and maximization of the InitiativeOne headquarters for an extraordinary training experience for clients.
Mike is passionate about helping individuals and companies become more than they imagined.
Mike has over three decades of leadership experience. His professional career spanned eighteen years as a football coach – including two years of high school, fifteen years of major college, and one year in the professional ranks. Mike took the countless skills and abilities honed as a football coach and seamlessly applied them to the business world. He served as Vice President of Sales for nine years at a privately owned company, and during that time, sales grew from $83 million per year to just under $1 billion per year. He is adept at accelerating growth by “moving the ball down the field.”
In addition to the corporate business sector, Mike and his wife, Dr. Deb Wade, owned a faith-based counseling center. One of the largest in the metro area, the center grew to employee seventeen doctors and therapists who counseled as many as 1000 individuals, couples, and groups per month. Mike and Deb continue to do marriage conferences.

With over 10 years of sales and marketing experience Abbey will be developing and implementing our new marketing strategy and assisting in operations. Abbey has experience in various industries including technology, financial services, sports and entertainment. Abbey is passionate about client experience and building the InitiativeOne brand. She is also excited about growing as a leader and contributing to the growth and development of the InitiativeOne team and beyond!
Abbey is an Appleton native and UW-Green Bay graduate. She lives in Appleton with her family and enjoys running, camping, and drinking good coffee.
